PROJECT DESCRIPTION

In the context of monitoring the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, GIZ Vietnam funded and organised a 7-day training course on data visualisation and analytics for 22 specialists of the General Statistics Office (GSO)

The full-time course – which was held at the Hanoi Club in the period 03-07 December 2018 – introduced carefully selected GSO staff to data management, analysis and visualisation techniques offered by two sets of software, Power BI and Tableau. The main focus of the course was on data-analysis and data-driven story telling, with a specific emphasis on communicating the achievements on the Sustainable Development Goals.

Under MPI-auspices and in cooperation with RED, the project delivered a second training course for journalists on data analytics and data-driven story-telling.
